The Company has a board of Trustees which is empowered to make decisions on behalf of the Company and does so at its regular meetings. Our Trustee Board represent a wide range of local people of different ethnic mix and skills. Amber Initiatives is a charitable company providing support for migrant workers in Devon and Cornwall. <BR>Amber Initiatives was set up in September 2005, when it became increasingly obvious that specialist advice and support was urgently needed to assist both the rapidly growing migrant communities living and working within the City of Plymouth and outlying areas as well as to support those local organisations and individuals - landlords, employers, farmers, teachers and statutory and voluntary organisations - who had direct contact with newly formed community groups of migrant workers. <P><B>The mission of the Amber Initiatives</B> is to contribute to society through the assisting of migrant worker community groups and the host community. <P>Amber has a proud record of cross sector and partnership working. Our IAG work brings us into regular contact with agencies concerned with health, employment, waste management, education, housing, with the Inland Revenue, Jobcentres, local businesses, family support, DVLA and many more. <P>Amber Initiatives continues to advise and inform public bodies about significant issues affecting this newly formed sector of society. <P>Our main office is in Plymouth. Since September 2007 we have opened offices in Bodmin, Truro and Redruth. The Amber Initiatives service helps migrant workers to resolve their legal, financial and other problems through information, advice and practical assistance. We provide advice and consultancy support on a wide range of issues including Employment, Housing, Finance and Benefit advice, Education and Health-related advice. <P>Our aims are to ensure that our clients receive Information, Advice, and Guidance service at the highest levels of excellence. <P>Our multicultural, multilingual and skilled staff are well placed to serve migrant worker communities. The project has been uniquely positioned to understand the wide needs of Eastern European community groups. <P>Along with our principal activity  the Information, Advice and Guidance service, we organise different projects ( e.g. sport and recreational activities, integration projects, etc.). <P>Amber has expanded its service delivery capacity over the past year to include more than 3 new programmes and services: <BR><img src="img/dot_g.gif" width="5" height="5" alt="" border="0" align="middle">&nbsp;&nbsp;<A HREF="ASCP-eng.html">Safer Community Programme </A> <BR><img src="img/dot_g.gif" width="5" height="5" alt="" border="0" align="middle">&nbsp;&nbsp;<A HREF="CDF-eng.htm">Resettlement Project: Towards Integration </A> <BR><img src="img/dot_g.gif" width="5" height="5" alt="" border="0" align="middle">&nbsp;&nbsp;Community Forum <BR>Thanks to funding provided by Community Development Foundation, Amber Initiatives implemented a new project  Resettlement Project: Towards Integration which is an example of our working partnership with statutory bodies to assist the settlement of migrant workers. <P>We recognise our impact on society.
